Status: Completed 2023
Location: Bedfordshire
Project Description:
Designed for a young family, this rear extension enhances the existing kitchen-dining space with a new sitting area. The flat roof complements the neighbouring architectural style, while skylights introduce natural light. In keeping with the design intent, a flat roof extension with bi-fold doors and a roof lantern maximises light penetration into the easterly facing garden. The new layout carefully considers both aesthetics and practicality, ensuring a seamless transition between old and new.
Bi-fold doors establish a seamless connection to the garden, while thoughtful brickwork detailing ensures harmony with the existing structure. The design prioritizes both function and aesthetics, ensuring the extension integrates smoothly with the original home. The enhanced spatial arrangement allows for better circulation and usability, creating a highly practical yet stylish living environment that supports the family's daily activities.
Carefully selected materials and subtle architectural details contribute to a refined yet understated elegance, creating a welcoming space that enhances everyday family living. The introduction of soft, warm lighting and natural textures further elevates the ambiance, ensuring the extension not only provides additional space but also enriches the overall atmosphere of the home.
